Fabulous! You made me giggle, and I do love a crustless quiche, will be trying your recipe this week 😊 oh, and I'd rather look after that tree than the Shard any day 😂
Will cook the quiche this week for Calderstones Volunteer Gardeners- some vegetarians and some gluten-free, perfect audience. But dear Diva, my quiche tin has a loose bottom (do excuse this personal information). Looks like you’ve cooked yours in a solid bottom enamel… any advice?
I cooked it in a ceramic dish – for the same reason! There’s a lot of it about! Would have been better in something metal, but it was still very good. Hope you have a lovely day!

quiche made me drool
I was expecting a magical broad bean quiche from the Giant slayer
You are so right. Can’t believe that I am so disappointing.
Tee hee hee fee fi fo fum
Very interesting.
So glad you could make it to the march last Sunday & lovely to meet you irl.
Ps any tree tall enough to block the shard gets a gold star from me
Great to meet you too!
The tree takes advantage of width and perspective to upstage the Shard, and is not that tall... Don't encourage it.
"And no one can steal it before you get to eat it" Classic - this made my morning!
Also, it’s new to me to cut onions with rings rather than against them.
Any theory behind that?
There’s a theory that it makes them slightly milder and they cook better. It will certainly have an effect on the structure.
I tried cutting them that way tonight for another dish - I think they did soften up more quickly and more thoroughly
I'm also curious. Wouldn't it produce inconsistent shapes from the edge to the centre?
It doesn’t seem to. I think that as well as affecting the flavour, they are also easier to cut.

As hilarious as ever this week, Lizzie and that quiche looks divine!

That quiche sounds like a dream!
Thanks so much Portia! It is!
