Omg, how did you know I picked up a cauliflower this morning? This will be dinner on Wednesday night. I’m another one who has never roast cauliflower either and I’m looking forward to trying this recipe. I’ve list the 1.5kg gained in Seville and want to lose another kilo at least before Christmas. I’ve promised myself a week of feasting without too many restrictions and then back to it.

Many years ago I lived on home made smoothies using frozen fruit. That stopped when I found out about the sugar content.

BTW, if fat free yogurt is on trial, quark must be in hiding.

I’ve never actually seen quark for sale so I think it’s been in hiding for years.

I remember it all too clearly being recommended as a replacement for cream in low fat diet recipes. I tried. It just makes food sad.

I have occasionally seen it in recipes but never seen it on shelves. A case of nutritional chalk self-censoring? Or do I have low-fat blindness?

Thank you for doing this Lizzie, please keep going in whatever form works for you. It all needs saying, it's mad what gets passed off as 'food'. And I'm going to try that cauliflower recipe too!

Thanks for your support Margaret. It really is a madness – and I’m glad to see that so many people are beginning to call it out.

Enjoy the cauliflower!

Well, I was a medical journalist for a long time, so I’m not your target audience for these pieces. (“Been there, done that” energy, if that makes any sense.) However!!! Please keep writing in this vein, in whatever format works for you.

And of course, I’m always here for the recipes. This one looks fantastic.

I am partial to the long-read format myself. Thanks for banging the real food drum

Must-try recipe, sounds healthy and delicious, thanks, Lizzie. Fat-free yogurt is an abomination, a 5% fat percentage isn't that high and gives plenty of flavour.
